Seb's Snackbar and Ice Cream Busy snackbar and ice cream venue. Ice cream may seem more expensive, but their servings are extremely generous. You may want to share! Picnic tables. Located near South Hero Post Office.
Pan's Pizza I really like Pan's Pizza. They make fantastic salads too -- fancier greens, cucumbers, broccoli, tomatoes, onions, red peppers, etc. They make their own very tasty Greek salad dressing. Take-out only and limited hours (4-7pm and not all days of the week). 802-372-4729. Located in a little complex between South Hero Pharmacy and The Blue Paddle Bistro in South Hero.
McKees Island Pub & Pizza Comfortable place to go with the family or the adults might just want to hang out at the bar. Pizza, subs, dozens of flavors chicken wings, burritos, salads, desserts and more. Call ahead and pick up your pizza! Hero's Welcome Their cleverly named sandwiches are the best! My favorites are the Norman Rockwell and the Dewey. No matter which, I also choose a tomato basil wrap and cheddar cheese for my sandwich. Ice cream and creemee counter. The general store is a great place to pick up pastries and muffins along with a variety of hot coffee. You can arrive here by boat too! 802-372-4161. The Ransom Bay Inn & Restaurant I've never been here, but it look like I should add it to my to-dine list. We've had a few guests dine here and say the food and service were wonderful. Call for reservations. 802-796-3399. Address: US Route 2, Alburgh.

North Hero House Restaurant Groups of 4 or fewer should ask to be seated in the front to have a lake view (eastward). Bigger parties will not have a lake view. Dress is business casual or dressier. Vermont Fishing License You can pick up a paper copy at Bill's Sports Shop behind A&B or go online and buy one. However, the law states that you must have a signed paper copy on you. An electronic copy is no good. If you buy a copy online while you're here, forward it to me in an email and I can print a copy for you.
★ IMPORTANT ★ Anyone born after January 1, 1974 is required to have boater's safety certificate on them when operating a motorboat on the public waters. See the Vermont Boater's Requirements law. You can get this education and certificate as issued from your home state. The boater's safety course is available online. There is a small fee, but it really is well worth it for your safety and those around you on the lake. If you fall into this age category, you'll need to present your certificate to rent a motorboat.

Keeler Bay Variety Located in South Hero. About 10 minutes away. There is a 15 cent bottle deposit fee. This is also a mini-supermarket. It's a bit tighter to park here. If you want to stop in and there's no parking, park across the street at the church.
